The South Tyrolean wood sculptor Walter Bacher was born in Brixen, South Tyrol, in 1908 and was already celebrated by his peers for his work at the young age of 14. He studied for two years at the art school and another four years at the Academy in Munich, and was considered one of the best students and wood sculptors in the world even then. His works can be admired in churches and museums worldwide, but his pieces are particularly numerous in southern Germany, making it impossible to list them all. He immortalized himself with the renowned "Walter Bacher Nativity Scene," whose Baroque-style figures are very elaborate and expressive, yet exquisitely sculpted. His depiction of the kings deserves special attention, as the kneeling king, in awe, removes his crown and presents it to his page, for he did not wish to appear before the divine king as a mere king. We offer the "Bacher Nativity Scene" painted in 12.5 cm, 17.5 cm, and 25 cm sizes.

Unfortunately, ANRI ceased production more than four years ago. However, we managed to acquire a large remaining stock of ANRI products before the company's final closure, so we can still offer you a few original items.
