Disposal instructions
Note on battery disposal
In connection with the sale of batteries or rechargeable batteries or with the delivery of devices containing batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
As an end user, you are legally obligated to properly dispose of used batteries. You can return used batteries free of charge to the point of sale or in your immediate vicinity (e.g., at municipal collection points or in stores). You can also return used batteries to us by mail, paying sufficient postage. Our obligation to take back used batteries is limited to the type of new batteries we carry or have carried in our product range, as well as to the quantity that end users typically discard.
Batteries or rechargeable batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage bin. This means they must not be disposed of with household waste. Near the garbage bin symbol is the chemical name of the pollutant in case certain limits are exceeded:
- "Cd" stands for: contains more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium
- "Pb" stands for: contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
- "Hg" stands for: contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury
