The Kostner nativity figures offered in our online shop have their roots in the early seventies – in the parental home of the Peter Mahlknecht family, right next to the traditional woodcarving school in St. Ulrich.

With great joy and personal commitment, we as a family business were able to participate in the design of the Kostner Nativity Scene, this unique Alpine Christmas Nativity scene, from the very beginning – through creative suggestions, new model proposals and many valuable discussions.

Over the years, one of the largest and most beautiful nativity scenes has been created, which today already includes over 120 artfully carved figures – and is lovingly expanded year after year.
